Job description

Join the Cell Therapy Platform & Discovery team as a Scientist, Cell Therapy Vector Biology, where you will help drive the discovery and development of novel Cell and Gene Therapies. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by advancing cutting-edge treatments for diseases with significant unmet medical needs. We are investigating the use of engineered viral vectors for ex vivo and in vivo gene delivery to T cells to treat cancer. We are seeking a highly motivated downstream process scientist to develop and implement vector purification strategies to enable preclinical studies. Do you have industry experience with downstream viral vector process development and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team? Come join us in our mission to build the next generation of Cell & Gene Therapies for Oncology.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Design, optimize, and execute downstream purification processes to improve yield, purity, and stability of lentiviral vectors (LVV)
  • Independently operate and maintain chromatography and filtration systems (e.g., TFF, depth filtration) for virus purification
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of purified, quality-controlled vector lots to support preclinical studies
  • Maintain detailed records for vector productions and process development experiments to ensure traceability and data integrity
  • Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and rigorous culture of scientific discovery
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Virology, Biology, or related field with 2+ years of related experience is required. Industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with viral vector downstream processing methods, including column chromatography (Akta), is required; expertise in LVV purification is preferred
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques for lentiviral vectors is preferred
  • Strong critical, scientific, and strategic thinking skills are required
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel, are required
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams is required
