Job description

An innovative, venture-backed biotechnology company is seeking a highly motivated scientist with a strong background in immunology, particularly in T cell biology. This role is ideal for a researcher passionate about exploring immune system mechanisms and developing immunotherapies for age-related diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mouse models to assess immune responses in age-related diseases, including fibrosis (bleomycin-induced IPF) and metabolic disorders (diet-induced obesity).
  • Conduct in vivo studies, administering therapies via IV, IP, intratracheal, and intranasal routes.
  • Design and execute in vitro and ex vivo assays, employing multi-dimensional flow cytometry for immune cell phenotyping and functional characterization.
  • Investigate immune therapy mechanisms of action through T-cell cytotoxicity, cytokine production, proliferation assays, and other immunological analyses.
  • Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor junior scientists and research associates, fostering a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Immunology with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in developing and optimizing in vivo models for age-related disease research.
  • Proficiency in multi-color flow cytometry and immune cell characterization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of cellular and molecular immunology principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data effectively.
  • Experience leading research teams and collaborating in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.

This role offers a competitive salary, stock options, and comprehensive health benefits. Additional perks include a monthly activity stipend and support for professional development through external courses, seminars, and conferences.

The company is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds.
