The Simons Foundation's Scientific Computing Core seeks a Software and Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and grow Flatiron's computational resources, across on‑prem and cloud environments. Based in New York City, you will deploy, operate and optimize software, services and workflows used by researchers and computational scientists.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, computational science, mathematics, physics, neuroscience, biology or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of professional software or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming with exposure to Go/Java/C++/C# or similar.
• Practical Linux experience and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Containers and containerized environments (Docker); Kubernetes familiarity desirable.
• Experience diagnosing performance, reliability and optimization of production workloads.
• Experience building automation, APIs, services or tools to improve efficiency.
