Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of science news writing or journalism experience.
• Ability to translate complex scientific topics into clear, plain language for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Research, report, and write original news stories, press releases, profiles, Q&A, and other deadline-driven content.
• Translate complex AI/neuroscience themes into engaging narratives for scientific and general audiences.
• Produce publish-ready content with high accuracy, clarity, and tone.
• Independently generate story ideas and maintain Kempner website, social media, and newsletters.
