Job summary

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks a Non-Credit Lecturer for Foundations and Seminars to support Upward Bound students. This temporary grant-funded role requires creativity, strong communication, and the ability to work with a diverse student population, coordinating with the Director to build high schoolers' skills for higher education.

The position involves Saturdays hours (8:30 AM–3:00 PM) with potential schedule flexing, and ends on May 8, 2027, contingent on grant funding and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in TRIO Upward Bound or similar program preferred.
Experience with local school districts preferred.
Experience with Word, Excel, Teams required.
Able to read, write, and comprehend English; follow verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Co-teach courses pertaining to financial aid / FAFSA.
Aid students with interpreting PSAT, SAT, and ACT results.
Assist students in developing pre-college resumes.
Conduct workshops for students pertaining to leadership, learning styles, decision-making, and community service.
Intervene and counsel students as needed and report areas of concern to the program administrative staff.
