Job summary

Étoile Academy Charter School seeks a Science Teacher to deliver data-driven instruction and high-quality lessons aligned to state standards. You will collaborate with colleagues, including special education staff, to provide accommodations and support to all learners.

You will implement the REACH culture, manage a dynamic classroom, and participate in weekly meetings, tutoring, and after-school activities. This role requires dedication to student growth and district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution is required (education or related field preferred).
• Texas teaching certification preferred or ability to obtain within two years.
• Prior K-12 teaching experience is preferred and demonstrates student achievement.
• Strong knowledge of TEKS and ability to build relationships with students and families.
• Flexibility to travel between two campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize daily language instruction to support students' language acquisition.
• Implement state standards and Etoile curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content with scripted curriculum for Math including daily lessons and assessments.
• Learn, deliver grade-level curriculum and assessments.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning and manage tasks.
• Maintain REACH behavior management and foster a positive classroom culture.
• Host tutoring sessions and pull small groups to close gaps.
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and district learning.
