Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Math Teacher who will design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and create a classroom where every student learns and thrives. You will collaborate with the Leadership Team, receive coaching, and engage in weekly professional development, while advancing equity, anti-racism, and restorative practices.

This full-time position on a school-year calendar is at our Bay Area campuses, with a comprehensive benefits package and salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution (required).
• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements (required): hold a valid teaching credential, or be eligible for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit ( CPR certification is a prerequisite for this permit).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships.
• Engage fully in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
