Job summary

Archdiocese of St. Louis is looking for a dynamic Science Teacher for Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School for the 2026–2027 school year. Job Summary

Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school serving grades 9–12, seeks a dynamic and mission‑driven Science Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates with experience in an urban, college‑preparatory environment are strongly preferred. Applicants must possess a strong academic background and a passion for preparing scholars for success in college and beyond. The ideal candidate will design rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive lessons that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific literacy. The teacher will deliver instruction aligned to Missouri Learning Standards and help prepare students for advanced coursework and postsecondary opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related discipline required; Master’s preferred)
  • Missouri State Teaching Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience (highly preferred)
  • Strong classroom‑management and instructional skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to integrating laboratory investigations, project‑based learning, and real‑world applications
  • Ability to incorporate technology effectively to enhance instruction
The employed person is expected to:

Compensation

Based on degree level and years of experience (somewhat negotiable); includes a comprehensive benefits package.
