Job summary

ITA International is seeking a Science and Innovation Manager to lead energy, environment, and sustainability initiatives in Blacksburg, VA. The role emphasizes federal opportunity identification, capture, and proposal development, with a strong focus on multi-disciplinary teams and strategic growth.

The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field (PhD preferred) and a proven track record in government contracting, research funding, and collaborative leadership across agencies,

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Toxicology, Atmospheric Science, Materials Science, Public Health, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing technical teams on research projects.
• Experience growing business with a focus on consultative partnerships.
• Proven track record acquiring federal contracts and/or research funding.
• Publications or conference presentations in environmental science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to align environment and sustainability capabilities with federal priorities.
• Identify emerging technologies and advances for ITA programs.
• Translate advances into practical tools and capabilities addressing client needs.
• Foster collaborations with federal agencies, universities, and industry partners.
• Publish technical findings through publications, reports, and conferences.
• Lead program oversight to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
