Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking an internal medicine physician to support the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Center within the VA North Texas Health Care System. The physician will provide consultative and primary care services to Veterans with SCI/D in inpatient and outpatient settings, with on-call duties and a focus on comprehensive lifelong care.

The role includes admissions, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an LCME-accredited school or COCA-equivalent.
• US licensure in good standing (or eligible) to practice medicine.
• Board certification in internal medicine or eligibility for certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative and primary care services to SCI patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform history and physicals, develop treatment plans, and manage complex medical conditions.
• Use EMR for documentation and coordinate with SCI team for comprehensive care.

Board-certified in internal medicine
