Job summary

Butler’s Bus Service in Hartford, VT is seeking a Part‑Time School Van Driver to transport students to and from school and events on weekday schedules. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

You will drive assigned routes, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain a clean, safe van while communicating professionally with students and families. The role requires a School Pupil Transport Certificate (or willingness to obtain), a safe driving record, and at least 3 years of

School Van Driver (Part‑Time)

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $18-24/hour
• Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
  • May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements
