Job summary

• Proficient in general use of a computer, email communication, and job-specific equipment/software.
• Proven experience in a coordination role.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
• Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret a map.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees drivers and buses assigned to routes; assigns substitute drivers and spare vehicles as needed.
• Oversees pre trip and post trip inspections and classroom/ campus parking procedures.
• Acts as bus operator liaison; ensures timely reports and paperwork for operators and administration.
• Coordinates with maintenance vendors on repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Advises school administration on applicants and bus operator issues; does not hire/fire.
• Drives as substitute bus operator on routes or field trips as needed.
• Maintains records, safety standards, and confidentiality; attends meetings and trainings.
