Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversees the drivers and buses assigned to routes; assigns substitute drivers and spare vehicles as needed.
• Oversees pre trip inspections and post trip inspections and proper vehicle parking on campus.
• Serves as the bus operator liaison for equipment and routes, maintenance, and student discipline; ensures reports are provided on time.
• Coordinates with maintenance vendor(s) on repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinates with safety & training vendor on driver onboarding, safety meetings, and recertification.
• Advises school administration on applicants, bus operator issues, and termination recommendations.
• Works with bus operators and Deans of Discipline on disciplinary issues on buses.
• Maintains current licenses and certifications and keeps records.
