Oklahoma City Public Schools is seeking a Route Supervisor (Dispatch) to coordinate daily dispatch operations and serve as the main communication hub among drivers, schools, fleet maintenance, and district personnel. The role ensures safe, reliable student transportation and emergency response readiness.

The ideal candidate will oversee GPS/AVL monitoring, route adjustments, staff onboarding, and data-driven reports, while upholding safety standards and district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in school transportation, dispatch, or logistics preferred.
• Experience in a K12 transportation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch operations for regular education, special education, and activity transportation.
• Monitor route performance and address delays to maximize on-time arrivals.
• Communicate transportation issues promptly with schools and leadership.
• Assign substitute drivers and vehicles to maintain uninterrupted service.
• Assist with onboarding and training staff on dispatch procedures and protocols.
