Job summary

Mad River Local Schools is seeking a Transportation Aide to support student mobility and safety in the mornings and afternoons.

The role requires a high school diploma, clean background, drug testing, and strong communication with students, families, and staff. Lifting and assisting with wheelchairs and strollers is required, with shifts listed as 6:30–8:30 am and 1:15–4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at a starting rate of $18.49 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Record free of criminal violations prohibiting public school employment.
• Must pass new hire drug testing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assist students with special needs.
• Positive attitude toward students with special needs.
• Ability to lift/manipulate children up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb stairs and assist with wheelchairs.
• Meets Ohio rules and safety requirements for pupil transportation.
