Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a part-time technology associate (20 hours/week) to support students, staff, and families with devices, software, and network resources. Under supervision, you will help implement technology-assisted instruction and ensure adherence to school policies.

The role requires an associate degree in education, technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Qualifications

Associate degree in education, technology, or related field is required.
Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Ability to follow Board of Education policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide basic technical support to school computers, tablets, network, AV equipment, and printers.
Assist staff with submitting helpdesk tickets and follows up as needed.
Issue, distribute, manage, verify, and collect student devices each school year.
Work with teachers and technology staff in the selection of resources compatible with school technology infrastructure.
Assist with the implementation of computer assisted instructional programs.
Monitor and assist students and teachers in the use of the computer.
Assist teachers with the presentation of learning materials and instructional activities.
Adhere to copyright laws and guidelines pertaining to resources.
Inspect computer equipment and arrange major repairs as needed.
Collaborate with the school library media coordinator to enhance instructional technology use.
Serve as point of contact for communications between Technology Services and school.
