Job summary

Summit Public Schools seeks a Technology Specialist to be the primary tech partner at school sites in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle/Tacoma. You’ll deliver responsive support, maintain infrastructure, and enable modern tools that unlock student potential.

The role covers hardware/software support, AV and classroom tech, cloud platforms, inventory, and project work, including AI tool adoption and workflow automation. Travel between campuses is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of tier-1/2 IT support experience.
• Experience administering Google Workspace and Windows OS.
• Familiarity with ChromeOS, Zoom, and basic networking.
• Ability to travel between Summit school sites.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Able to pass background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical point of contact for hardware, software, and systems at assigned sites.
• Maintain site equipment (laptops, AV, printers, projectors, networking).
• Support daily classroom instruction and digital learning platforms.
• Manage site tech inventory, records, and warranties.
• Provide event setup and live support for executive meetings and school events.
