Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the Speech Language Pathologist in providing services in a school setting in Grass Valley, CA. The role is contract full-time with 37.50 hours per week and pay of $45 per hour.

Responsibilities include clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment activities under the SLP's plan of care. State licensure/certification is required, and at least 18 years old with eligibility for employment in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have a SLPA associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology/communication disorders.
• Minimum 100 hours of supervised field work or clinical experience as required by state/contract.
• Current SLPA licensure/certification in the state of practice.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• 1 year of SLPA experience preferred.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate as per contract/state regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Aids the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services.

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate's degree, or have a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
