Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support school-based speech therapy in Bremerton, WA. The contract is full-time with a pay rate of $42 per hour and a 35-hour work week.

The SLPA will assist the Speech Language Pathologist with clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment activities within the plan of care. Candidates must have an SLPA credential, and 1 year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• One year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the SpeechLanguage Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
