Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for school settings in Waynesville, MO. The role offers a $35 per hour pay and a 30-hour workweek.

The SLPA will assist the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering services, handling clinical documentation, and supporting treatment activities in the school setting. A degree in SLPA or related field, and state licensure are required or preferred, with 100 hours of supervised field work.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an SLPA program with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in SLP/communication disorders.
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work or equivalent.
• Current SLPA licensure/certification in the state of practice.
• Meets all relevant professional standards of practice.
• One year of SLPA experience preferred.

School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Setting:Schools Job Type:Contract - Part Time Pay:$35 / Hour Hours:30.00 Location:Waynesville, MO

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities / plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
