Job summary

Role

A School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for providing speech and language services in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), deliver individual and group therapy sessions, monitor student progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide training and resources to educators and staff on integrating speech therapy goals into classrooms, and maintain accurate, confidential student records in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

Must hold a Speech/Language Pathologist license; preferred credentials include ASHA's CCC. Prior experience in schools, early childhood, or pediatrics is advantageous. Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques is required. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with diverse teams, students, and families.
