Job summary

The Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA) seeks a School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students' communication development in collaboration with teachers and families.

You will conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver direct therapy in individual and group settings, while monitoring progress and ensuring confidentiality in accordance with regulations. A state license and ASHA CCC are required, with preference for school-based experience.

Qualifications

Role:

A School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides speech and language services to students, collaborating with educators and parents to support academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify communication disorders, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), deliver direct therapy in individual and group settings, monitor student progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide training and resources to staff on integrating speech therapy strategies into classrooms.

Qualifications & Skills:

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, valid state SLP license, and ASHA Certification (CCC). Preferably experienced in school, early childhood, or pediatrics settings, with strong knowledge of speech development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills are essential.

Additional Details:

The role involves working approximately 40 hours per week during daytime hours, with responsibilities including documentation and maintaining confidentiality of student records in compliance with regulations.
