Job summary

MCPS in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to screen, evaluate and remediate communication disorders that affect educational performance in students birth to twenty-one.

You will consult with teachers and parents and participate in IEP/IFSP teams, develop goals, write concise clinical reports, and maintain longitudinal records. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Maryland licensure or provisional eligibility are required; ASHA CCC desirable.

Qualifications

• Screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate communication disorders in students birth to 21.
• Develop and implement goals and objectives; select therapeutic materials; work with individuals and small groups.
• Prepare concise clinical reports; develop IEPs/IFSPs; maintain longitudinal records.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate students, provide services for articulation, voice, language, and fluency.
• Consult with teachers and parents; participate in IEP team meetings.
• Attend required meetings outside instructional day per district agreement.
