Job summary

National Heritage Academies (NHA) seeks a School Social Worker to support students at one of our partner schools in Michigan. You will join a cohesive leadership team of deans and collaborate to implement a result-driven curriculum that educates the whole child—academically, morally, and socially.

You will provide counseling, crisis intervention, and connect families with community resources to foster student success.

Qualifications

MSW degree from an accredited program and LMSW licensure in Michigan.
MOECS credential or account for School Social Work Certification in MI.
Experience in school-based counseling and IEP participation preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide group and individual counseling to students as mandated by IEPs and monitor progress.
Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans and support teachers.
Complete psychosocial assessments to determine services.
Conduct functional behavior assessments and communicate results to the team in parent-friendly language.
Maintain state-mandated clinical records and report data per program standards.
Establish relationships with students and parents and participate in school planning.
Identify community resources and referrals to support student success.
Provide crisis intervention services.
