Qualifications

• MSW or LCSW is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in counseling with adolescents and families.
• Knowledge of community social service resources and access.
• Understanding of child study teams, special education assessments and program requirements.
• Unwavering commitment to students’ success.
• Ability to communicate clearly and engage stakeholders.
• Ability to establish relationships with students and families.
• Solution-oriented mindset and ability to approach problems creatively.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case manager for students with identified needs and those referred to the Child Study Team.
• Communicate effectively with parents and all IEP stakeholders.
• Use clinical skills to provide group and individual counseling.
• Provide crisis counseling to students and families in need.
• Deliver behavior management and de-escalation to maintain a safe school environment.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and monitor progress with the team.
