Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a School Social Worker for a 7.5 hour school day contract based in Albert Lea, MN. The role focuses on evaluating eligibility for special education and delivering direct mental health services to K-12 students.

You will collaborate with school staff on IEPs, assess socio-emotional needs, and provide individual or group interventions while aligning with district goals. Local or travel W2 options available.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• State License as a Social Worker (if required).
• Educational/Teacher Certification (if required by state department of education).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate eligibility for special education services and placement as a member of the IEP team as defined by IDEA.
• Assess social and emotional development, mental health status, and adaptive behavior relevant to case study evaluations.
• Use a holistic approach to assess cultural, environmental, and socio-economic factors.
• Determine related service needs (e.g., social work, counseling, consultation) and set goals/objectives aligned with special education eligibility.
• Collaborate with school staff on functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
• Share assessment findings during IEP meetings and conferences.
• Provide individual, group, or evidence-based curriculum instruction as required by the student's IEP.
• Deliver direct social work services to students.
