Job summary

Licensed School Social Worker (LSW) / School Based Social Worker with Interim HealthCare of NEPA supporting Lackawanna County Schools. Job details include up to $55 per hour, school hours M-F, 7 hours per day, health insurance after 90 days, accrued PTO, and weekly pay via direct deposit or paper check.

LSWs provide mental health and behavioral support, counseling, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators to aid student learning and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) through Pennsylvania required.
• PK-12 School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate preferred.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of student functioning, history, relationships, and cultural factors influencing learning.
• Develop interventions to improve student learning based on assessments.
• Create intervention plans to meet student needs and cultural experiences.
• Assist in planning therapeutic and behavioral modification activities within the educational agency.
• Provide crisis and emergency support including threat assessment participation.
• Deliver direct interventions: individual and group therapy, counseling, and educational programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources to support student learning.
