Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Illinois is seeking a school-based Social Worker to support students' social and emotional growth in a school environment near Chicago. This contract role starts ASAP and runs through the current school year, offering meaningful work and flexible PRN scheduling for evaluations and BIPs.

Responsibilities include conducting 35-40 social work evaluations this year, developing and supporting Behavioral Intervention Plans, and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois school social worker certification/licensure
• Experience in a school setting conducting social/emotional evaluations is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and social/emotional assessment tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with educational staff and families

• Carry out in-depth social work evaluations (PRN, ~35-40 this school year)
• Develop and help implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed
• Document findings and recommendations clearly and promptly
• Provide insights to multidisciplinary teams for student support planning

Job description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students social and emotional growth in an engaging school environment near Chicago, IL. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year, offering the chance to make a significant impact as a school-based Social Worker.

Responsibilities include conducting approximately 35-40 social work evaluations over the school year on a PRN (as needed) basis. There is an additional expectation to provide support through the creation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) as required. Youll collaborate with school staff and contribute professional expertise to build a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid school social worker certification/licensure in Illinois
• Prior experience in a school setting conducting social/emotional evaluations is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of best practices in the development of BIPs and social/emotional assessment tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with educational staff and families
