Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker to join an Illinois elementary school for the 2025–2026 academic year in a part-time role. The position focuses on supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development within a collaborative school environment.

Candidates will provide individual and small-group support, conduct assessments, and contribute to IEPs and behavior plans. Strong collaboration with families and educators is essential to promote student well-being

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement.
• Completed a 600-hour supervised internship within a school setting.
• Passed the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) for School Social Workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group support to students to address social-emotional needs.
• Conduct social-emotional assessments and interpret findings to inform support plans.
• Contribute to IEP development and provide input for behavior intervention plans when needed.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and school staff to coordinate resources and supports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor progress according to school and state requirements.
• Connect families with community agencies and outside resources for student support.
