Job summary

Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a 2026-27 Social Worker to provide school social work services and referrals to students and families, collaborating with district and school-based student services teams to meet social and emotional needs and promote a successful learning capacity for all students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
• Certification or eligible for certification by the Florida State Department of Education.
• Must have and maintain a valid state of Florida driver’s license and/or have access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manifests a professional code of ethics and values.
• Responds to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner.
• Collaborate with the school’s Student Services Team to support MTSS and mental health initiatives.
• Provide direct individual and group counseling services as a related service on IEP/504 plans.
• Develop and maintain timely documentation in district tracking and reporting systems.
• Support graduates interns and newly hired school social workers.
