Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in social work preferred.
• Field work placement in a school setting or related human service area preferred.
• Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Florida LCSW; School Social Worker certification may be earned per policy.

Responsibilities

• Promotes mental health and well-being of students through counseling and crisis protocols.
• Liaises between school, family, and community agencies to advocate for students.
• Promotes parental engagement through a structured multi-tiered system of supports.
• Consults with teachers and administrators about student needs or behaviors.
• Develops comprehensive assessments of students' social and emotional needs.
• Serves on intra/interdisciplinary teams to address attendance, academic, social, and health problems.
• Coordinates services with internal and external providers to deliver comprehensive support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
