Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in social work, school social worker, or social welfare.
• Bachelor's degree acceptable with current school social worker certification only.
• Certified or eligible for certification in school social work by the Florida Department of Education or Licensed Clinical Social Worker by Florida Department of Health.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and satisfactory criminal history and drug screening clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning, developing and evaluating programs and services for students.
• Participates in Child Study/Collaborative Problem Solving and IEP committees as needed.
• Maintains records and prepares social work reports for referrals and programs.
• Liaises between home and school to coordinate information and services.
• Supports families in understanding and accessing community resources.
• Intervenes to improve student attendance and classroom engagement.
