Job summary

AB Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Licensed School Social Workers for the 2025/2026 school year. The contract follows the academic district calendar, typically 32 to 40 hours per week, with placement coordinated to match classroom needs.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a mental health field and a valid Illinois PEL with School Social Worker Endorsement. School experience is preferred; strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health related field ( Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work ) preferred.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Support students with IEPs and contribute to IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration.
• Address issues such as attendance, behavior, and crisis intervention.
• Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources.

Education

Master’s degree in mental health field
