Job summary

Oak Harbor Public Schools seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluative, habilitative therapy and consultation for students with language, speech or hearing needs across district sites.

Required WA ESA certificate with SLP endorsement, WA SLP license for Medicaid billing, ability to evaluate and write IEPs, strong language development background, and reliable transportation to multiple sites. Experience in schools preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington ESA certificate with SLP endorsement.
• State of Washington SLP license and current license for billing Medicaid.
• Strong language development background.
• Ability to evaluate and write IEPs.
• Ability to relate positively to and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Washington State and Federal rules and regulations.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Flexibility and positive attitude required.
• Personal vehicle is required for transportation to various sites.

Responsibilities

• The SLP provides evaluative, habilitative (therapy), and consultation services for students with disabilities in need of language, speech, or hearing therapy.

Education

WA ESA certificate with SLP endorsement

WA SLP license and Medicaid billing license

Strong language development background

Ability to evaluate and write IEPs

Relate positively to students, parents, staff

Knowledge of WA & Federal rules

School setting experience preferred

Flexibility and positive attitude

Own transportation to multiple sites
