Job summary

Allied Instructional is seeking educational interpreters for in-person services as independent contractors. You will be compensated for portal and work across school settings and levels.

Ideal candidates hold EIPA 3.5+ or RID/NIC (or VQAS Level 3) and are willing to travel. You must maintain professional communication with staff, parents, and students, and uphold RID ethics while serving deaf and hard-of-hearing students at districts throughout the region.

Qualifications

• Must hold minimal EIPA 3.5 or RID/NIC or VQAS level 3 certification.
• Willing to travel and provide interpreting services in educational settings.
• Reliable transportation if not working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services to deaf/hard of hearing students in school settings.
• Establish professional relationships with staff, parents, students, and community.
• Demonstrate RID ethics and professional conduct in all assignments.
• Attend IEP, child study and other relevant meetings as requested.
• Collaborate with the educational team to ensure access to curriculum.
• Maintain records of communications and travel for supervisor review.
