• Working knowledge of security techniques and electronic security systems.

Responsibilities

• Protect students, staff and district property.
• Serve as a security resource to students and campus personnel.
• Establish relationships with faculty and law enforcement personnel.
• Identify unauthorized persons on campus and verify authority.
• Report all criminal offenses to the district police.
• Prepare and file appropriate security reports.
• Appear in court/hearings as needed.
• Maintain a visible adult presence at events.
• Conduct random security patrols on campus.
• Coordinate security with Katy ISD police.
• Assist during disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
• Inform the Chief of Police of safety conditions.
