Katy ISD is seeking a Security Guard - Level II Certification to protect students, staff and district property on campus.
Under supervision, you will respond to incidents, coordinate with district police, and maintain records. Requires Texas Level II security commission, valid Texas Driver License, and ability to interact professionally with adolescents and staff.
Reports To: Chief of Police
Duty Days: 187 Days
Wage/Hour Status: Non‑Exempt
Pay Grade: A04
College hours, high school diploma or GED (preferred). Texas Driver License and available transportation. Level II security commission from the Texas Commission on Private Security. Ability to record information and follow verbal and written instruction. Ability to work effectively with students and communicate clearly. Working knowledge of personal and property security techniques and electronic security systems. Sensitivity and maturity to work effectively with adolescents. Preferred previous experience as a security guard.
Under direct supervision, provide security and protection for students, campus personnel, patrons, and district property.
Two‑way radio, CCTV, personal computer, and alarm systems.
Maintain emotional control under stress; ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; may be subject to adverse and hazardous working conditions, including violent confrontations; work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions; and may be exposed to vehicle exhaust.
