• High school diploma or GED; college hours preferred.
• Texas Driver License required.
• Level II security license preferred.
• Ability to record information accurately.
• Ability to work with students and campus community.
• Previous security guard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in protecting students, staff, and District property.
• Serve as security resource to campus personnel.
• Coordinate with Katy ISD police personnel.
• Identify unauthorized persons on campus and verify authority.
• Report all criminal offenses to the District’s police department.
• Prepare and file all appropriate reports.
• Appear in court and/or hearings as a witness or complainant when appropriate.
• Provide a general and consistent adult presence at critical locations during school events.
• Provide a random security patrol on the assigned campus.
• Coordinate security services with Katy ISD police personnel.
• Provide appropriate assistance during disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, etc.
• Inform the Chief of Police of conditions affecting safety.
