Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in safety and security in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to relate to individuals in conflict situations.
• Must meet departmental physical requirements and pass CMSD training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors, including responses to armed threats.
• Patrol buildings and grounds to prevent incidents and monitor access.
• Operate visitor management systems and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
• Assist in emergency drills and support in medical or safety incidents.
• Communicate clearly in person, on the phone, or via radio for situational updates.
• Prepare and submit safety and incident reports as required.
