Job summary

Azteceaglesk12 is seeking a School Security Monitor to protect students and staff. The role involves patrolling indoor and exterior areas, greeting visitors, and ensuring access points remain secure to maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include de-escalating tensions, documenting incidents, and coordinating with school leadership. Training in dispute resolution and CPR/First Aid is beneficial, with a focus on quick response and calm communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in difficult or confrontational situations.
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts and resolve disputes.
• Certification in first aid and CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the school premises.
• Identify unsafe or disorderly situations and resolve or escalate.
• Maintain records of security incidents.
• Communicate with students and staff to de-escalate and prevent conflicts; summon police or other help as needed.
• Cooperate with law enforcement for reports or investigations as required.
• Assist in drills and emergency planning; participate in evacuations.
• Administer basic first aid.
