Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 1 year relevant work experience.
• Certification training: School Security Officer within 60 days of hire and annual renewal.
• CPR/AED and first aid certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student activity in hallways, cafeterias, gyms, and exterior areas.
• Manage Visitor Management Systems and greet visitors.
• Monitor entrances, identify unsafe or unauthorized activity, and respond to incidents.
• Assist administration and staff in upholding safety policies and codes of conduct.
• Maintain high visibility during arrival, dismissal, and events.
• De-escalate conflicts and promote positive student behavior.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and school personnel during incidents.
• Prepare written reports and attend trainings as required.
