Job summary

BASIS Richardson is seeking a Monitor to join our team. The Monitor will oversee student activities including lunches, recesses, and before/after school programs, ensuring safety and order.

The role requires a high school diploma, and preference is given to candidates with prior school or childcare experience. The position supports front office tasks and maintains reliable attendance at BASIS Richardson.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Identity Verified Prints IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or satisfactory state background check.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Experience in a school or childcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure safety.
• Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods and before/after school.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform supervisor of damages to school property.
• Respond to emergencies such as injuries or food allergies with urgency.
• Exercise sound judgement in carrying out duties.
• Assist in front office support as applicable.
• Maintain regular full attendance.
• Supervise students during structured and unstructured times.
• Other duties as assigned.
