Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a School Monitor to ensure student safety and provide supervision before and after school, at arrival, lunch, and recess. The role emphasizes firm but fair discipline, clear communication, and teamwork within the Operations group.

The position is part-time with an hourly rate of $10.00, requiring a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to work with students across multiple grade levels. Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and orderly environment for students.
• Monitor students during bus drop off, arrival, and after school.
• Monitor halls during student arrival and lunch.
• Maintain assigned lunch schedule for all grade levels.
• Supervise and assist students during lunch line to keep schedules.
• Supervise lunchroom to maintain orderly conduct.
• Supervise students during recess and rotate through the lunchroom as scheduled.
• Assist with general food needs and cafeteria cleanliness.
• Support behavior management and report concerns to administrators.
• Perform related duties as required.
