Job summary

Learning Care Group seeks a School Relations Coordinator to manage relationships between assigned schools and church partners, supporting cross-functional projects for Pathways Learning Academy. This role performs advanced administrative duties requiring industry knowledge and best practices.

You will collaborate with ministry staff and internal teams, coordinate meetings, and ensure smooth weekly transitions for classroom spaces within church settings.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer facing role.
  • 3+ years in licensed childcare centers as lead teacher or admin preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a positive, close working relationship with children’s ministry to partner with the church.
  • Build relationships with staff, school directors, church staff and field management.
  • Serve as liaison between school director and church, escalating items to B2B and SC partners as needed.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with church and internal teams to discuss partnerships.
  • Manage transitions of classroom space in church before/after operating hours for weekly sessions.
  • Maintain procedure documents for classroom setup to enable seamless weekly transitions.
  • Attend district and school staff meetings to stay informed on matters affecting schools.
  • Oversee school conferences, seasonal events and internal programs.
  • Support local marketing events and staff attendance to promote enrollment.
  • Attend community-based weekend events and participate in faith-based activities with ministry.

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the ongoing relationship between an assigned set of schools and our church partners. The School Relations Coordinator will support cross-functional projects related to the church relationship and our Pathways Learning Academy brand. This role will also be responsible for advanced administrative duties that require industry knowledge of business practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage and foster a positive and very close working relationship with children’s ministry to ensure we are operating the school in partnership with the church.
  2. Maintain a focus on building relationships with new staff, school directors, church staff and field management.
  3. Act as the liaison between the school director and the church, ensuring appropriate escalation of items to the B2B team and SC partners as needed.
  4. Prepare and facilitate regular, recurring (weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) meetings with the church and members of our internal team to discuss the ongoing partnership.
  5. Manage and delegate the transition process of the school’s space in the church outside of the school’s regular operating hours – Mondays before open and Fridays after closing. Ensuring both LCG classroom set up is correct on Mondays, and the tear down of our LCG setup on Fridays is in line with the church’s preferred set up for the weekends.
  6. Maintain all procedure documents related to the classroom set up process for their assigned centers with the goal executing seamless weekly transitions.
  7. Regular, in person attendance across all assigned schools is required to ensure necessary teamwork.
  8. Attend district meetings and school staff meetings to stay informed on all school related matters.
  9. Oversee and coordinate school conferences, seasonal events and other internal programs on a continuing basis.
  10. Attend local marketing events and organize staff attendance at other community-based events aimed to promote and increase enrollment at their assigned schools.
  11. Available to attend community based-weekend events regularly.
  12. Work hand in hand with the ministry for faith-based activities within the church (if applicable).
  13. Performs other related duties as requested by a member of management.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in religious institutions, particularly churches OR a strong understanding of ministry culture is strongly preferred.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience to work in a licensed childcare center.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer facing role.
  • 3+ years of experience working in licensed childcare centers as a lead teacher or admin. is strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities (i.e. technical, organizations, knowledge, etc.):
  • Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Proficient time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet established deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of all current state and local regulations.
  • Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Strong public relations skills, communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and resolve conflicts in a proactive and effective manner.
