Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem role in St. Louis, MO. The RN will oversee nursing care in the school setting and support students' physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, following physician orders and school policies.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, managing chronic conditions and coordinating with families and healthcare providers. Valid RN license, state certification and CPR are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofemployment
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatricexperience, preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
