Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the nursing process and deliver student care in a Vista, California school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well‑being of students, responding to emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers.

This contract‑full time role offers competitive pay at $45 per hour with benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred; School Nurse Certification as required.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable; TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable; Health certificate per contract/state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the nursing process and delivery of student care in a school setting.
• Promotes health and safety of students and responds to medical emergencies.
• Manages chronic conditions and medication administration as directed.
• Acts as liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers.
