Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Registered Nurse (RN) to join our contract-based health program in Vista, California. The School RN will apply the nursing process, deliver student care, promote safety, and coordinate with families and school staff.

The role requires an active RN license in California, CPR, and certification as required by state; we offer competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and flexible scheduling under contract terms.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis'philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
