Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a School Registered Nurse to oversee nursing care for students within a school. The role supports students’ physical, mental and emotional well-being and responds to medical emergencies in collaboration with families and school staff.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in the state of employment, a preferred Bachelor’s degree, and school nurse certification as required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred for the role.
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract.
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Minimum age 18.

Job description

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promoting the health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers.
