Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Nurse to apply the nursing process and deliver student care in a school setting. The nurse may supervise within contracted services and must follow the organization’s standards and physician orders.

Minimum requirements include graduating from an accredited nursing program, licensed as LPN/LVN or RN in the practice state, CPR current, and a health certificate when applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed as LPN/LVN or RN in practicing state(s).
• 1 year of professional experience preferred.
• CPR certification current.
• Health certificate current per contract or state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process and deliver student care and contracted services in a school setting.
• Provide nursing services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's policies and orders.
• May hold a supervisory position within contracted services.

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing One year of professional experience, preferredCurrent CPR PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of age
