Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring Registered Nurses to support students in school-based settings throughout Aurora, CO. Opportunities include both 1:1 nursing and full school nurse positions, with either full-time or part-time schedules for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will provide hands-on student care, manage health needs, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with school teams to support student wellness and safety.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado State RN license.
• School nursing CDE certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check.
• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care based on student care plans.
• Monitor and manage health conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain health records and ensure compliance.
• Communicate with families regarding student health needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and special education teams.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols.
• Support health screenings and student wellness initiatives.
